Stories of Shahzad are full of fun, surprises and gentle life lessons, this collection of stories will delight young readers and will remind them that every challenge brings something new to learn. These stories are suitable for children between the ages of 7 and 9.
The Stories of Shahzad series consists of two books, each containing four stories.
Story 1: A Surprise Gift For Mum Little girl plans the perfect birthday surprise for her mother
Story 2: "The Stolen Watch" is the story of Shahzad, who suspects that one of her friends has stolen her watch. But to everyone’s surprise, it wasn’t her friend who took it. You’ll be even more surprised when you find out who the real thief is!
Story 3: Shahzad sets out to build a sandcastle, but each time something goes wrong. It sparks a whole new adventure and turns into a different experience she never expected!
Story 4: Shahzad is thrilled to wear her brand-new white shoes to school. But to her surprise, another classmate shows up in the very same pair! A twinge of jealousy sets in, leading Shahzad into a funny adventure.
About the Author

Elnaz Valaei Bakhshayesh is from Iran and currently lives in Oman. She began writing the Stories of Shahzad during the COVID-19 pandemic. Inspired by her own childhood and her observations of children’s lives, these stories follow a 7-year-old girl as she navigates joy, disappointment, courage, and fear—learning how to face each challenge with bravery. Elnaz encourages all children to read these stories and see themselves reflected in Shahzad’s experiences.
